Authentic Provence Gone Green Susan Hofherr, European Expatriate & Owner of Authentic Provence, Ruminates on Prestigious Palm Beach Shopping Strips, Creative organic cuisine & Eternally classic fashion accessories. 01. CLASSICALLY CONTENT...Burberry is my luxury of choice & there is nothing better than splurging on the iconic brand's current collection. I often find the best accessory statements at the distinguished Breakers Shops located in the Breakers Hotel. It is a prime destination for enduring classic pieces of seuperior design. Burberry's creations are sleek & elegant, remaining purposeful & chicly functional. burberry.com
02. AL FRESCO...I revel in walking down the impressive Worth Avenue, a quaint shopping district in Palm Beach that abounds with luxury brands. Definitely the perfect haven for rest & relaxation as there aren't even street signs to direct you - one must follow the salt in the air in order to reach the ocean. worth-venue.com
03. FRIENDLY FOODIE...A delicious Palm Beach locale not to be missed is Darbster, a delightful vegan bistro that serves innovative, natural & organic dishes. Owners Ellen & Alan Gould donate the entirety of the profits to The Darbster Foundation, which funds local animal rescue efforts. Be sure to cap off your meal with a delicious raw brownie with dates. darbster.com
04. GARDEN FLAVOR...Authentic Provence is my little slice of Southern France right in the middle of downtown West Palm Beach. The store envelopes you in scents of lavender and fig trees, while your eyes are entertained by rarities from throughout Europe. Though you'll mostly find garden antiques from France and terra cotta via Italy. I also really love the scent collection from Geodesis, which are full fragrances made in only natural scents. authenticprovence.com
